About us:

Potarch Café is dedicated to crafting delicious brunch and lunch offerings using the freshest locally-sourced ingredients. We are located a stone’s throw from the River Dee, between Aboyne and Banchory. Our menu is inspired by modern flavours and traditional favourites, offering our guests a unique dining experience every time they visit.

Responsibilities:

– Assist the head chef in preparing and executing our brunch and lunch menu items

– Ensure consistent food quality and presentation

– Heading up the baking of sweet treats (cakes and bakes) and maintaining quality of produce

– Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area

– Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items

– Adhere to food safety and House Rules guidelines at all times

Requirements:

– Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred . This is an ideal job for those with experience in kitchens or those looking to gain experience and learn on the job in a first or second job capacity and progress in the industry.

– Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals preferred, but can also be taught on the job to the right candidate

– A love of baking sweet treats

– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

– Strong communication and teamwork skills

– Passion for using locally sourced ingredients and supporting local producers

– Your input and creativity is encouraged by the Potarch team
