On the evening of the 28th April 2018, family, friends, members of the local community, charity supporters in the North East and local businesses gathered at Ballogie House for a ceilidh in aid of Anthony Nolan. Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders; everyday they match incredible individuals who are willing to donate their blood stem cells or bone marrow, to help people who desperately need lifesaving transplants and also provide a wonderful support to family and friends.
Local piper Stuart Paterson, from Finzean Piping School, piped guests into the main house for a drinks reception which was sponsored by Matthew Clark Ltd, followed by dinner provided by Country Flavours of Alford.
The entertainment was provided by the talented Dennis Morrison and friends.
We would like to thank Country Flavours of Alford for the wonderful food and service as well as all those who generously made donations for the raffle: Hays Flowers, Helen Jackson Basket Weaver, The Butterworth Gallery, Royal Deeside Passportours, Potarch Cafe & Restaurant and also a selection of private individual donations.
A wonderful night was enjoyed by all and an amazing £1,000 was raised for Anthony Nolan.
