Aboyne
Is an attractive village at the heart of which is the village green which is the site of the famous Aboyne Highland games, held in August each year. The village is well served by many amenities which include Primary and Secondary Schooling, a Community/Sports centre with swimming pool, an excellent 18 hole golf course, a wide selection of shops and several hotels and restaurants.
Banchory
Is a popular town 17 miles west of Aberdeen. The town benefits from a wide range of recreational and sporting activities including two 18 hole golf courses, Driving range, tennis courts and a community centre with swimming pool. Banchory also boasts many shops, restaurants and hotels making it a popular place for tourists. Both primary and secondary education are catered for and all the schools enjoy an excellent reputation.
Finzean
Is a village that lies in the valley of the River Feugh, a tributary of the River Dee, straddling the South Deeside Road or B976 which runs between Banchory and Aboyne. Finzean is a thriving community with a shop, part-time post office, a farm shop with tea room and a community association with a village hall. Primary school education is catered for at Finzean Primary School.
