Ballogie Estate has one bank of fishing on 5.5km (3.5 miles) of the River Dee and shooting and grazing rights over part of the Forest of Birse (approximately 2500 hectares) which lies adjacent to the Estate's southern boundary. The Estate owns and rents out the hotel at Potarch, an art gallery at Ballogie Village and a riding centre at Midstrath. There are 3 tenant farms let under traditional tenancies. In addition to Ballogie House, there are more than 35 cottages on the Estate, the majority of which are let under a variety of conditions.

Fishing Beats:

The Dee is one of the top four British salmon rivers, it rises in the Cairgorms and flows for over 80 miles through the Grampian Region in North-East Scotland before it enters the North Sea at Aberdeen. In addition to the increasing run of spring fish, the river also provides some excellent summer fishing for salmon, grilse and sea-trout.
