BALLOGIE ESTATE ENTERPRISES HOLIDAY COTTAGES TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2010 Booking - Ballogie Estate Enterprises only accept firm bookings when made on the Booking Form and when accompanied by either the deposit or, if booking less than 8 weeks in advance, by payment in full. A Full payment will be treated as both an initial and balance payment. Payment - A deposit as shown on the Booking Form is required before a booking can be accepted. This should be made by cheque or BACS Clydesdale Bank PLC, Account Name: Ballogie Estate Enterprises, Sort Code: 82-60-17, Account Number: 90319269). On receipt of your completed Booking Form and deposit or full payment we will send a receipt for the payment and confirm your booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday, a balance invoice will be forwarded to you for this together with directions on how to get to your cottage. VAT is charged at applicable rate at time of invoicing. Arrival & Departure - Bookings are usually Sunday to Sunday but other arrangements MAY be available upon request. The accommodation is available from 16:00 hours on the day of arrival and we ask clients to leave by 10:00 hours on the day of departure. Cancellations - Once a booking has been confirmed by Ballogie Estate Enterprises a contract has been made; the deposit cannot be refunded thereafter, and the balance of the hire is due not less than 8 weeks before the start of the let. However, if written notice of cancellation is received Ballogie Estate Enterprises will attempt to re-let the accommodation, although no guarantee of successful re-letting is given. In the event of re-letting taking place the deposit only will be retained and any balance will be returned to the hirer. We do, however, strongly recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance cover in the event that you have to cancel. Pets – You must bring your pet blanket or pet basket as pets are allowed only on the clear understanding that in no circumstances may they lie on the bedding or on chairs. Your pet must not be left unattended in your cottage or elsewhere. Please be considerate of our caretaking staff and the next guests and clear up any messes inside or outside. If extra cleaning of your cottage or its garden is required after your holiday because of your pet, a charge may be made. Smoking - We would ask you not to smoke inside the cottages. Responsibilities of Hirer – The accommodation must not be sub-let. The accommodation must not be used by more than the maximum number stated in the Booking Form. The accommodation must be left clean and tidy. Ballogie Estate Enterprises reserves the right to charge for any additional cleaning required. The Hirer is responsible during the period of hire for any losses or damages to furniture, fittings or structure, or any other property of Ballogie Estate Enterprises, whether caused wilfully or not. Any such loss or damage must be repaired, replaced or paid for by the Hirer, to the satisfaction of Ballogie Estate Enterprises. In the event of any damage occurring please notify the Caretaker or Office immediately. Property – Ballogie Estate Enterprises does not accept responsibility for loss or damaged to personal property or vehicles. Payments - Cheques should be made out to “Ballogie Estate Enterprises”.
